Darn, I know snowballs don't do damage, but I thought that I could use them to knock the mobs into lava (you get experience from mobs landing in water if you hit them first). I guess they both count as environmental damage?

it wouldnt work because you dont attack them mob. wolves drop xp when they kill mobs for you

40 min.!? I could get to level 30 5 times in less than that with the regular skeleton farm I use.

Great idea! I have TMI so I would get full diamond with unbreaking X and on and on.
