Ball's pyramid - Rendering some tests

These are renders of some random inspiration that I have got today (I was listening to Alt-J -awsome band you have to listen to them now- at Uni today, welcoming visitors during the open day and I decided to try to shape their logo which is actually the Ball's pyramid -google is your friend again-), I tested stuff with world painter about colored clay and peaks and cliffs and stuff like that.

That is not a real project but just some renders about some tests that I wanted to share, this gave me good inspiration: New map next week :p

Interesting fact, they found a species of walking stick insects on ball's pyramid previously thought to be extinct. I wrote an article about it back in 2008 or so and i still recognized the last image :)

Yea ! I study biology and the idea of discover an extinct or presumed extinct species is something that amaze me.
