Once, long ago, there were three mighty kingdoms who lived in the sheltering embrace of vast cliffs. They were peaceful and prosperous, giving back what they took from the ground.
One day, the ground shook and heaved before giving a single eerie shriek and twisting in like a whirlpool. The three kingdoms were forced together and together the ruins keep those foolish few from entering the vast magnetic hole that was created in the stead of the earth's rebellion.
Thus was born Bermuda, the Cursed One.

After the second time this map threw us for a loop, we had to create a backstory as to why Bermuda is cursed. It's become the official story of the server now, no matter how many times we restart it or how many new people we invite into it. It's a story and a legend to tie us all together.

Really, the story and worldbuilding that has gone along with Bermuda over the years is simply astounding to me. We've all worked on it, and this, the first map, is probably the only map in the collection that has some of the most complete cities. We've worked around chunk errors, chunk patchwork, and Bermuda being just essentially Bermuda. While our skills to this day are considerably better than this one is, we all still hold this old abomination firm in our hearts. We hope you enjoy her as much as we enjoyed building on her for the better part of two years before she ripped part of the mountain city of N'Ra out and deposited it .... somewhere it shouldn't be.

I might post some progress screens as we move along with the newer version of this monster.

As always, we have built it all on Creative, by hand. I don't like using mods.
