There's a error in the command blocks to teleport the players at the beginning. Both teleport commands have "a/tp" when it should just be "/tp" to start the command. (Might be better to use the /spreadplayers command, actually, for more random setups.) Also, the potion effect you apply to players is jump boost, not resistance, which means IF the teleport works, players will plummet out of the sky to their deaths.
I haven't had a chance to try it since fixing those things yet; if I do get around to it I'll leave another comment to tell you how it goes. :)
