Aderlyon Blue Lakes Interior Build:
This is Aderlyon’s entry to the PlanetMinecraft interior contest!
With the team being led by Max, nearly everyone on the team pitched in their thoughts,
ideas and work in order to make this a great experience!
This project was extremely fun to work on, as working in a group is much more fun.
We would like to thank PMC for putting together this contest, as well as the judges, for spending so much time judging the builds and donating your time.
Welcome to our rendition of the Blue Lakes Interior Build Contest! We chose Blue Lakes, as this gave us a very one-man home feeling. This home was constructed with the visual of a retired man, who enjoyed bringing over his friends and hanging out in the man-cave, hot springs, grilling, or living rooms! Definitely a fun friend to be around!
Let us begin with a tour of our house:
Entrance + Lobby:
Welcome to the house! The front entrance leads into the lobby, where you will have access to get to all rooms of the house, swiftly. This was an important thought while constructing the house, room positioning. We wanted to ensure every room was placed with a lot of thought to fit a real house-scheme.
Thus, we started by removing all the interiors of the house and starting from scratch. In fact, most of our builders have not seen the original interior! This helped us come with our own ideas.
Dining Room + Kitchen:
Moving to the left, we have our eating space. Here we have everything you need. A coffee machine, a smart fridge, as well as all the other essentials. Right beside that, you find a standard eating space, with a nice view of the garden.
This is practical for the grill. When the parties are out by the hot springs, you can hand out the meat for the BBQ outside the window!
Livingroom:
Moving to the right, you will find our main relaxation room. Whether you want to kick it back in front of the fireplace and read some books or enjoy a new episode of your favorite show on the TV, this is the room for you. Definitely a nice space to enjoy!
Piano Room:
Going up to the second floor, we reach the piano room, where you are greeted by some of our antiques. You have an incredible piano as well as a grandfather clock.
This space is meant to be a relaxation space. The easy-going, but the nice feel of the house is kept up in this room as well.
Office:
The office is strategically placed right by the bedroom, for a busy day! You just want to get up and get to the office and get some work done, this is the room for you!
The office features a work laptop, as well as a beautiful painting of all the friends of the home-owner.

Getting the skins for this image was not the easiest task! We would like to apologize in advance for any skins we may have gotten incorrectly, however, we hope the thought counts!
Bedroom + Bathroom:
Moving on past the office, we come to our bedroom, which of course, has a master bathroom. Walking into the bedroom, you are greeted with a fine Egyptian cotton throw. The bedroom is, of course, equipped with all the essentials you need. You have a bedside clock, living space to relax and kick back with your friends, shelf-space, you name it!
It is always nice to have your own personal space to kick back in your room. Definitely, a nice feature to have.
Garage:
Taking you back down to the garage, you will find the home-owner is definitely fond of cars. He has a built-in repair station to ensure his car is always up and running to the best of its abilities.
Very often, he finds himself helping out people in the community with their car issues as well!
Mancave:
The man cave is a dream for every guy! This is a place for a boy's gambling night. Roulette and pool are the games of choice, however, he often sets up darts on the wall as well!
Artwork:
Around the house, you will find incredible artwork. We would like to credit this artwork to Crescendo. Although Minecraft does not do this art justice, you can get a decent feeling for the artwork. Thank you again for allowing us to use these amazing pieces. Check out some more of Crescendo’s work on their profile.

Additionally, we also used a piece made directly in-game by Amelia (one of our builders).
The last piece is the one put in the office, discussed in the office section. This piece took quite some time to put together with rendering all the skins, and putting that into Minecraft! We are glad it turned out the way it did.
Chess:
We also included some fun features, such as the chess puzzle in the backyard!

Only thing that bothers me is the car service jack. The bus has 5 blocks between the wheels. The car service jacks has only a length of 6 blocks...
Anyway, way to solid entry.
No lets be serious now good job guys!
The most important thing about the contests is it brings everyone together! I think it did a great job of that :D
