The Boeing 777-200ER is a wide-body, long-range, twin-engine commercial jet airliner manufactured by the American company Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is the largest twin-jet aircraft in the world, often known as the Triple Seven.
It has the capacity to transport more than 500 passengers and a range from 9,695 to 17,370 km, depending on the model. Some of the most distinctive features of the 777 are that it incorporates the largest diameter turbofan engines, it has a set of six wheels on each main landing gear, its fuselage has a perfectly circular cross section, the pronounced "neck" after the cockpit and blade-shaped tail termination. Developed in collaboration with eight major airlines, it was designed to replace older wide-body commercial aircraft and cover the difference in capacity and range between the 767 and 747. It was Boeing's first commercial aircraft with a fly-control system. by-wire, therefore with computer-controlled flight controls.
