If it is any consolation MCedit allows you to pick a block(s) then replace it with one of your choosing in the given selection. Originally this was sandstone. Until the 1.3 update that made sandstone break too easily.

I agree with you that too much brick is not easy on the eyes.

I agree. Sandstone would have been MUCH better material, even if it does break better, this brick is just plain out ugly
