Perched along the lower cliff ridge of Miremoor directly between the Ramstone Frontier and the dreary Miremoor Outwork lies the city of Brinkmoor, influential and prosperous. This city grew extremely prosperous and powerful from trade as almost nobody dares to cross the uneasy Miremoor all trade must be routed around the massive moor. Luckily for the people of Brinkmoor the path their city lies on is the best route around the moor to get to the eastern cities. Traders passing through the city must pay a heavy tax which the city council uses to expand their cityo s influence and power. The people of this rather large city are fiercely independent and have resisted imperial rule for many generations. The empire has, as of yet, been unable to put the city under their thumb and has thus resulted in a very bitter agreement with the cityo s council for trade and supply routes.

Additional Notes

Resource pack is the Conquest pack.

You can view non-shader images at this Imgur album, and the shader images at this Imgur album.

This is a build I've kinda lost interest in. The house exteriors are finished but the interiors are empty. There is a also a small gap in the middle of the build on the outside cliff face; this was going to be a stairway and lift that would go to the top of that cliff face but I couldn't get one built that looked right to me.

I might finish this build at some point, but I wouldn't expect it to be anytime soon, sadly.

Thank you! I really like this build as well. We're probably in the minority here on that though!

look wonderfully realistic. Always loved your way of detailing things and giving them depth.
The shader does also look incredible

I haven't heard from you guys a in while! I tried coming on a couple times, one time I wasn't able to connect for some reason and another time I noticed I wasn't able to build anymore. I'm sure I'll still be dropping in every now and then anyway!

Are you thinking about making a large map of this kind of stuff? You're great with working around terrain, try it.

I plan on all these builds being part of one large work and, eventually, one very large map. But that is probably a very long ways off at this point.

Very good builds I have seen from you. Keep up the good work. Would love to see you put your talents towards a server or a fantasy world build.

Honestly, it comes from all over the place and most of the time, when I want to build something, I just play around until I come up with something I like.

Nice builds separately, but you need more variation, it looks like you've copied houses all over the place... but great use of Conquest, as usual. My mum says it looks like a tapestry, which is cool

Every house's facade is unique so I'm not sure if you're basing that off of the pictures of if you actually walked/flew around the build. Either way, thanks!

I am. The shaders mod was just updated yesterday. You have to use the latest release of Forge, (not the recommended release) and it should work.

Took me a while to actually figure out what was in the pictures, the pics are brutal on the eyes. Still really cool though!

There are quite a few pictures that are much closer to the buildings so they aren't as "brutal" on the eyes. But I'm glad you like it!

How do you get the added textures for conquest to work?

That depends on a few things;
Some blocks can be placed by hand and can be put into your inventory with the /give command. Other blocks can't be placed by hand and they require a bit more work to negotiate.
In both single player and on a server you'd need to use world edit and the //replace command. You'll place a stand-in block, say block 22, and then input "//replace 22 30:6" for vertical rope. This would replace all block 22 in your selection area with block 30:6.
You can also, if on a server, get a plug-in that can allow you to cycle through a block's meta-datas. This is a lot easier but it only works on a server.

Very nice and detailed build! You are a very talented builder, I wish you would work on your presentation a bit more, though. Your views and diamonds would shoot through the roof if you added some shaders and a pretty description. Just some personal advice. =)

Thank you!

I usually write a pretty detailed description/backstory for most of my builds. I wouldn't say descriptions are really a negative of mine.

I would use shaders but I can't find any that work with only Magic Launcher; GLSL shaders should be updated, supposedly, next week to have a Magic Launcher only version. I could certainly update all my pictures at that point.I absolutely hate Forge and just dread having to use it just for something like that.

I by no means was insulting your lore, that is absolutely fantastic, but i mean by using that lore and transposing it into a more asthetic description. Sorta like thishttp://www.planetminecraft.com/project/-penelope-the-ocean-weaver/But on the shader point, Forge isn't too hard. =P I use Magic launcher for playing and normal launcher/forge for shaded screenshots. I find it completely worth it because its a simple fact that shaders = more views/diamonds/subs. But anyways, can't wait to see more of your stuff. =)

I didn't think you were insulting the backstory, I just didn't know what you meant! I could certainly do something like what you suggested, however!

I tried your setup but I'll be damned if I can get connected textures to work on Forge. MCPatcher doesn't do it for me for some reason, and Optifine isn't compatible.

Oh yeah that's something you have to sacrifice in 1.6.2, no connected textures and shaders. =(

Yeah, I was trying to make it dirty and gritty. It might have gotten dirtier and grittier than I had planned, but it still looks neat to me. Thanks, as well!
