G'day guys, Morezy here!
Here is the newest design of a button-less multi-floor elevator using slime blocks and some cool new tricks!...
This design uses an idea inspired by the 14w30 snapshot of Minecraft that changes the way chunks are rendered, using this concept I came up with a way to limit the workings of this elevator to a small area creating a lot less lag and making this an extremely powerful and viable 41 floor button-less elevator!

Basicly every contraption is now your own designed tech. The noteblock entity update detector is also nice.
Also the integration of a door system and a light indicator makes it even better, not ot mention the lag reduction. I guess you´re the elevator king here.
But who am I without feedback?
The only thing I can think of for improvement is a variable height distance between floors. Most of the people use 2(+1 roof) blocks per level. Others 3(+1roof) and so forth. It wil be hard I think but it would then be even more usefull. Sadly skyscraper builders often not use them. Maybe I should do some recommendations out there.

The integrated automatic door system was just for you, i had you in mind when i designed it!! haha im glad you liked that! I would like to make the floors smaller but unfortunatly the mechanics wont allow it!
Though i can never say its not possible! i think with the current design people could move the floors around abit to make it bigger! Currently you could build a room 2 high with 1 block for a roof and then a space for some redstone before the floor of the second level!
