Cassin-Class Destroyer

Hello again everyone,

I'm back with another WWI US Navy destroyer. This time, the Cassin-class! These were more powerful than the Smith-class, featuring an improved main battery and greater torpedo power. The size and hull design was similar but still required a new build in Minecraft. Because I couldn't find a good 3D model of the Cassin-class, I used the similar Sampson-class model from World of Warships as my base and modified it to suit the earlier ship. The Cassin-class was the first of a series of five similar classes of destroyer that culminated in the Sampson-class destroyer.

Her statistics are as follows:

Length - 93 Blocks
Beam - 9 Blocks (Not including overhanging extremities)
Draught - 3 Blocks

Primary Armament:

4 x 102mm/50 Mark IX Guns [​4 x 1]

Torpedo Armament:

8 x 450mm Bliss-Leavitt Mark VI Torpedo Launchers [​4 x 2]

It wasn't a complex ship to make, similar in most respects to the preceding Smith-class. The most challenging aspect was the research, trying to find images to prove that the Sampson-class model in WoWs was close enough to the Cassin (aside from the torpedoes) to represent it in Minecraft, albeit with a few changes here and there.

Anyway, I hope you guys like this new ship. Next time will be something a bit different as a sort of interlude before my next US Navy destroyer, the Wickes-Class!
