This is a schematic for my fairly accurate recreation of the main structure of the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, Florida. This specific model gets as close as it can get to 1:1, and features just about all of the interior spaces and designs. I left it incomplete, however, as there are some corner rooms that were unfinished, but mainly because I implore anyone who is interested to finish and decorate it for their own use as they see fit. Yes, I am offering this schematic up for public use, whether it's for your adventure map or server, but I would like to ask if you leave credit to me, its original creator, where you can. No matter how small of the shared project, it's shared nonetheless, and I hope you feel obligated to retain the sense of honor when it comes to our community. I'd also like to note that I always use the latest Minecraft snapshots, and this map uses andesite heavily, meaning that you'll have to use any version after 14w02a. 1.8 should work just fine.
I'd also like to mention this is my first upload to PMC, and one I am proud of. While I may be new to the website, I can assure you that my experience in this game is above average. I'm looking forward to sharing as much as I can in the future.
This structure will be featured in my upcoming adventure map, details of which you can read on my profile. It will feature outer structures such as the ravelin and the moat, items that are not included in this schematic for the sake of frugality.
A brochure of the Castillo from Wikipedia. This was my primary reference, although I have visited it multiple times not too long ago, where I could observe and take photographs. The Castillo and St. Augustine as a whole is a magnificently cultural and historical location, and I urge you to read on about it or even maybe visit it.
If you have anything to say about this, please do leave a comment below or send me a message. Feedback is revered.
MCEdit was used in the slight majority of the creation of this structure. You'll need it if you want to put this into your world.
