This charcoal factory is fast because it has two furnaces. It is compact: only 7x5x4. If you want a cheaper and smaller charcoal factory you can just build half of it. Then it gets only 4x5x4. It has an auto refill function. Then there is always one stack of charcoal inside the furnace.

sad to say but to us redstoners, mumbojumbo has made one much smaller.

That's true, but with mumbo jumbo's design five stacks of charcoal will be sucked out from the output chest to the hopper facing towards the furnace. With my design you don't get that problem. Only the furnace will fill up with charcoal, not a hopper in addition of the furnace. It is difficult to explain, you should try them both and se the difference yourself.
