I'll keep everyone updated as I make more progress on it. I need to coat all the pieces with primer and then go in with detailed paint work and then coat everything with a finishing clear coat.

~ What's on your mind?

Today, 3.5 years of my life came to an end. Today, I finally retired.

Those years have seen me grow from a freshman in college to my last semester as a senior.
People have entered and left my life during that time.
I've had my ups and I've had my downs.
This isn't goodbye, but more a look back on the past and an explanation of what caused this.

I used to take the stance of not revealing personal information online. Now, how can I say that when I have personally invested myself into PMC? A certain moderator may recall this stance, and I apologize for this now.

I retired for two reasons:

1. Life got busy. Those of you who are still living with your parents/guardian, value it. Now is the time to enjoy the freedom from the stresses of adulthood. Perhaps you feel your life is extremely stressful and unpleasant, and I understand that. But once you have to pay your own bills, work so that you don't go hungry, and deal with insurance/car payments/student loans/etc., you'll wish you could go back in time.
   I graduate in December and I am currently making sure I nail the last stretch of my time in college. I will be teaching 4 computer science workshops (voluntarily) this semester on top of everything else. Following that, I plan to get my masters degree and possibly return to my university as a professor. That's right, Professor Zitzabis may be my future.
   
   
   
2. Life got messy. I won't go into depth with this one but I feel as though I am no longer capable of helping all of you as a moderator until I help myself. Life has a funny habit of kicking you in the stomach sometimes even when life is going great, and then kicking you repeatedly while you're on the ground. Rejoice though, since you're now at the bottom and you can only go up. I would also like to encourage anyone going through stuff, to talk about it.
   Perhaps you feel like your issues are petty, or that no one wants to hear your problems, but don't be afraid. Talking about it truly is one of the best ways to heal. I've gone to the respected elders in my life and they have showered me with love, guidance and a reminder that I don't have to be alone.
   
   

PMC is not just a website.

PMC is a community.

Respect others and respect yourself. While we may be hiding behind usernames, our words still have power.

I will return to Planet Minecraft one day. My hope is that upon graduation, I can come back and serve with a renewed energy. To all the other moderators, remember that we are here to serve the community. A role on a Minecraft website may very well be laughable, but you leave an impact. Planet Minecraft left an impact on me. How will you be remembered when you retire?
