17th Century Rome

A project based after the events Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

The map takes place several generations after Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. The splendor of the Renaissance has been built upon by the Catholic Baroque movement. Cardinals and rich monarchs throughout Europe flock to Rome to leave their legacy by having grand churches built in marbles and stone. Rising from the dirty ashes of its medieval period, Rome is beginning to see buildings several stories tall, clad in marble and rich stones. In the midst of all this construction, Assassins on Tiber Island are hard at work in this bustling city taking out Templars and corrupt nobles.

Experience the map from Brotherhood, centuries after Ezio set foot on it. New landmarks like the Piazza Navona, Santa Maria della Anima, and Torre Di Paolo III will adorn the Brotherhood-based map.

AS OF 4/7/2020
The project is being MOVED to a new page https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/nolli-s-rome-an-18th-century-map/

The focus will now be on recreating historical 18th century Roman maps for Minecraft's format. The map will be 1:1, use Geographic Imaging Systems (GIS) Data, reference historical maps (Giovanni Battista Falda, Giambattista Nolli, Giusseppe Vasi, etc). The map will have actual historical texts and lore placed near landmarks, every major building and space will be labeled, and this will function as an interactive Digital Historical experience.

This project is being revitalized and reimagined. The original MC world was corrupted, but since so much has changed in MC since I started this project I have decided to re-attempt it at 1:1 scale. https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/nolli-s-rome-an-18th-century-map/ is the new URL. Thank you all who have supported the project in the past.

I'll give you some advice. You could do a version of Baroque and Renaissance in 1500 and another with the most modern buildings in 1800

Thanks but I'm sticking to the sixteen hundreds, besides I'm using the map from Assassin's Creed as a scale. Real Rome is bigger, doing two versions would be way too much work
