Many multiplayer games occur on amply-protected servers with specialized software. But what if one is a layman stranded in the middle of Minecraft? They build one up.
Today, the villagers threw an emerald party and decided to protect it a bit. It was a cheap, ugly, bedrock-and-redstone type of thing. To start easy, any beginner griefer would breach it like a cake when one is hungry.
