Hey! This is something pretty unordinary I guess so I don't know if this is the right section to post it :P

Anyways: I'd like to show you some examples of simple editing to improve the look of your wallpapers. Keep in mind, that you will have to adapt all of these tricks to each photography and there might be very extreme results. Changing and playing with the settings and values will defenetely be needed!

1. Get yourself and Idea of WHAT you wanna present.
Don't just go and try to take a screenshot of the next thing you see.
In filmmaking and photography we call this "composition/cinematography"
Keep the rules of symetry, the golden ratio and or the 1/3 rule in mind!

2. Go and search good lighting.
The way how you use and combine light with your set is very important.
You can also try different gamma settings ingame! :P

3. Use shaders and fancy settings. Even with low framerates (noone will know it anyways :P)

4. Adapt your FOV ingame and play around with angles.
Hell no. Please don't try to make wallpapers with quake-pro.
It just looks awful. Also: if you have the right mods you can tilt the angle
of your camera, so you can find new, unexpected viewings!

5. Collorcorrection and Effect-usage (also layering)
If you open your wallpaper, most of the times it will look like shit.
This is where the magic of photoshop/premiere pro can help!
Go and change settings like brightness and contrast. I like to
have higher contrast (+5 to +30), shallow FOV or even complete blur
and color-gradients. Add multiple layers of elemts such as text and logos
and crop/adapt them to fitting sizes.

6. SUPER-SECRET TRICK:
This might sound dumb when just reading it but you can give your
wallpapers some more vibrance and softness by just running
over the picture with brushes. Set the flow between 50 and 100
and change the hardness to 0. Opacity between 2 and 15 and
choose a fitting color for each section of the picture. Then just go
over it (layering) as you desire.

Here are some examples of before and after.
