Ah yes. Welcome to Cretzo. This is a project I have been working on, on and off, for a few years. It started out very casual, but has become an exciting project where all structures have a story, and all landscapes, a legend.
There are currently a fair few unfinished buildings, and I intend to implement fully fledged quests so that not only you, but your friends can enjoy all the secrets this map has to hold. The map is set in a fantasy, medieval era, where there exist a handful of independent kingdoms as well as more subtle factions, who tend to lurk in their shadow.
I have tried to keep the style of the building natural, so that a 2 block steve finds himself at home, and so that the player themselves can expand. I hope this will eventually evolve into an RPG style adventure map, so I believe its important the players feel they can add something to the world, which feels realistic in both the lore of the map, and the general scale of Minecraftia. In time, quests will be developed so that power shifts from kings and chiefs to the player.
As mentioned before, an element of minecraft realism is an integral part of the map, so kingdoms and their resources are defined by the biome they dwell in. Kingdoms are born from rich histories which are reflected in their buildings, and there are many well hidden secrets in this map. Aesthetics are sacrificed in turn for a more enjoyable, and practical experience, which focuses on giving the player options to explore the map, while being fully immersed in it.
I have kept using construction mods to a minimum, partially because I am incompetent at using them. If anyone would like to join this project, I would appreciate help from experienced builders and modders. I would also be grateful for any feedback on the map.
