Now that I finally have a new computer, and some new terraforming tools, I can start releasing some descent maps again, here is the first!
Terraforming Toolkit
For those that didn't already know, I recently released a set of worldedit scripts that give you some brand new terraforming brushes and tools. When I initially released them, I didn't have many good examples of how powerful they really were. So, the first thing I wanted to do after posting them was to make a map putting them to the true terraforming test. This map is the result.
100% of all the terraforming was done in singleplayer, with my custom worldedit brushes, specifically the fragment, erode and fill brush. The vine brush was used throughout for all the hanging glowstone and of course, vines. The water brush was used to create all the pools and lily pads, and a few unreleased brushes were used for trees and a several other items.
Map Features
70+ completely customized mushroom village trades, with reward systems.
10+ large, naturally detailed caverns, with glowstone lighting and hanging shards.
11 CTM style objective "capture" locations (No where near hardcore)
Caves come fully stocked with all natural occurring minerals and blocks.
Absolutely no sunlight! Who cares what time of the day it is!?
Rules
Very simple, survive. Also, you are allowed to break and craft anything, with two exceptions. You can not break anything in the starting cave, or the mushroom village. Only trading is allowed in the village, meaning don't steal/use/break their items, or anything in that cave, they are "safe" zones. That's it!
Credit and thanks to SethBling for all his awesome MCedit filters! The setbiome and createshops ones were both used in this map.
