Based off the maze runner movie, this map features a Glade, surrounded by over a million block square maze, made up of Narrows, The Inner Ring and 8 Outer Sections, that open and close periodically. Your goal is to escape the maze, however at night grievers lurk in the maze looking for their next meal, but you are safe as long as you are inside the walls of the Glade when the doors shut.

In the glade you are in a 200x200 block square where you are in survival mode and have access to a bed, water, wood, stone, iron and coal. You are surrounded by maze with over a 1000 block diameter, which are accessed by one of the 4 doors on each side the the Glade, opening one at a time in a pattern.

The Narrows are part of the maze where you will find yourself lost and turned around on yourself, these twisting passage ways change at night and lead to dead ends or to the Inner Ring surrounding it.

Inside the Inner Ring you are can easily navigate your way around the maze, the inner ring leads to the gates of the 8 sections, each gate is unique to its section.

Inside all 8 of the Outer Sections are column blades, tall columns of steel that can't actually turn unfortunately. The outer sections lead to the final room where you need a compass, acquired by killing a griever, to open the door.

The Final Room features a over 100 block long pathway with deadly drops on either side, you will need to fight a griever to get to the end of the passage way, where a compass is needed to activate a secret passageway, and when you follow it inside and press the button you will escape.

After escaping out of a section you will enter a certain domain where you'll have to fight your way through to get a wool, and then fight your way back, then you'll be transported back to the glade where you can travel freely to/from that map through use of buttons on the monument. (Place the wool on top of designated monument block)

Semi-Survival means that some parts of this map you are in survival and some parts you are not, this makes the map more movie accurate as you see the Gladers building in the glade but never in the maze. So while you are in the Glade you are in survival mode, but if you enter maze you will be switched to adventure, this is to avoid players being able to mine through the maze. However if you read the extra info you will see how you can place and mine certain blocks in maze.

You are in survival for all the domains outside the maze.

If the resource pack does not automatically turn on when you join the world, don't stress. All you have to do is download the folder from this link:

Once downloaded, move this folder into your resource packs folder under .minecraft and unzip it, then just apply it in resourse packs in minecrafts settings menu.

The resource pack should already be in the world file, called resources. If its not you can copy it in from the link above (keep it in .zip format) and rename it resources so it automatically applies when you join or leave the world.

Disclaimer: This resource pack works for all versions however it will say incompatible as it was last rendered in 1.17, just press okay and use it anyway.

14 chunks Render Distance is advised for best aesthetic purposes, as it renders the whole glade no matter where you stand, however you can lower you simulation distance and still keep the same viewing distance. I believe the map should work with any render or simulation distance, so go with whatever you want but I recommend 8 render distance if 14 is too much.

I made an extra setting where if you drop an axe (wood, stone, iron) or an oak button on the ground, they become placeable in the narrows. When you first start the map you can activate this by pushing the button under a similar description to the one above.
If you are having issues with the interactive menu (">Begin" button) stand on the diamond block, and face the ">begin" text, if it turns green then right click, if it doesn't then leave a comment or tp yourself to the glade (0, 100, 0)

For smaller bugs/issues just leave a comment and I will try fix it as soon as possible, if you find and easy solution please leave that in your comment or reply.

Issues may occur with multiplayer servers, I am unsure how to fix this for every server hosting service, but just try fiddle around with it a bit or check the command blocks under the glade, I left signs around the place so hopefully you should be able to figure out whats what, and fix whatever issues you are having. (most likely some part isn't being powered)

NOTE: Issues may occur when loading 1.20.1 so make sure you use 1.20.2
