Hey PMC!
The house isn'tmeantto be good by the way and sorry for the photos, chunky doesn't support the snapshots.
CURTAINS Lore!
Steve was a hard core gaming addict. He gave up his job, moved into a smaller house and lived off the doll. He sat all day in front of his awesome new set up, with surround sound and expensive gaming chair. He just bought the new XBox one and GTA 5 and to anyone in the public, it would have seemed he was trying to set a gaming marathon world record! Almost everything was perfect. He could hear the smallest of sounds with his big speaker, and was so relaxed in his gaming chair that he almost fell asleep. But there was a problem with the TV. It wasn't that it was faulty, It wasn't that it had bad graphics, It wasn't that it was cheap, on the contrary it had been the most expensive item in his home. No, it was the fact that the light shined on it, making it barely visible to see.
Now Steve being lazy couldn't be bothered to get up and shut or open every morning or night, so he went on the internet to see if he could solve this. After an intensive 5 minutes of Googleing, he came over a curtain specialist, who for a price would come and install and automatic curtain closer, with the option of it being on a day and night timer, or by flicking a lever. Steve being broke already went for the cheap option, the lever.
So two days later the man came and installed the Curtain Closer 3000. Steve was ecstatic. Now he could play GTA 5 all day and not have to do more than flick a lever! With his little head content, he snuggled back down into his gaming chair and loaded GTA 5 without having to squint his eyes to see.
Most other people had it installed for when they went to bed tired, their curtains were already closed for them.
How I did it.
I used the new command /summon to create curtains which can be activated by pulling a switch, or as I originally had it, with an automatic day and night sensor. For this you must have the latest snapshot or just wait till the update comes out. It took me an hour or two to figure out the new commands, but the house only took 5 minutes.
Usage Idea
You could use it in a zombie survival game to block the windows with iron block (like from I Am Legend)
The commands to save you downloading a world save:
/setblock x y z (BlockID(the Id of the block you want to place) (damage value (just put 1 or 0)) replace
Quick apology
Sorry I said I was going to post on my 2nd year anniversary but didn't have time :( . I also haven't finished or posted the build, I said I would, but I've been really busy so couldn't
