On the foggy morning of June 6th 1944, British, Canadian, American, French and other allied forces landed on 4 beaches on the coast of Normandy and on various places deeper inside the country. This day, which we generally call D-Day, has been the biggest amphibious landing ever and the biggest military operation known to mankind. Over 150 000 men and women participated in the operation and over 5000 ships and landing craft.
My beach is mostly inspired by Omaha Beach (very original, I know) and I made it thanks to my own memories, Saving Private Ryan and Day of Infamy (for the bunker layout). This isn't an accurate recreation of Omaha beach but more like a beach that is inspired by it.
