"Do you guys think we got the right place?"

Umbral stormclouds fester above a summer camp in less-than-optimal condition. In recent years, the camp's counselors have found their budget tighter than ever, with problems piling up at a proportionally catastrophic rate, and as if to mock them, one issue has come along to dwarf them all. A mysterious killer has moved into one of the abandoned cabins on-site! Apathetic as ever, the administration refuses to provide any support whatsoever, and with campers continuing to come in it doesn't seem like they'll have a reason to soon.

Dead By Midnight is a 5-player multiplayer Minecraft map inspired by Dead By Daylight, where players assume the roles of a group of rag-tag campers/survivors, and one bloodthirsty hunter out to kill them all! Survivors will find themselves stumbling across the camp grounds in search of 5 defunct generators keeping the gate to freedom closed. In order to get to some, they'll need to search through the camp's various facilities and storerooms for powerful equipment capable of unlocking the path, all while using their own abilities and know-how to escape the powerful force hunting them down. Dead By Midnight doesn't present players with an identical experience every time, though - A number of possible generator locations, shuffled loot spawns, and 10 different playable classes keep the map's gameplay loop fresh and exciting!

Important notes:

• Playable in any version above 1.19.4
• The map is 5 PLAYERS ONLY. More than 5 can join the map, but only 5 people exactly can play at once.
• Unless you have optifine, the Flashlights in the game are purely cosmetic.

• Shaders that are properly updated for 1.19+ are also a great optional addition.

Developer's foreword:
Hey! I'm berrimix, one of the only 2 people who created this map. Dead By Midnight is our first Minecraft Map which we started in 2021, we didn't know how to create maps at all and wanted to give it a go. This meant we had to learn how to properly use command blocks, how to create 3D models, and a whole lot more. In 2 years, we have put an incredible amount of effort into this project and after many many playtest sessions, we think its time to finally release it. There is over 1700 Individual command blocks in total so it was a massive job. If you do decide to download the map and play it with your friends, please invite us to spectate! We would love to watch you play and fix any bugs if they are found.
