[1.6.4] Deathrun Desert

It's a simple desert deathrun map meant to simulate the ones found in
garrys mod, cs or tf2 (or other source game for that matter) but with a few
minor differences.. The current version of this map contains 4 traps and
3 stages. The reason why so little is that im testing waters, if people
would like this kind of stuff in minecraft. Unfortunately for you
though, this map needs minecraft 1.6.4 due to the mods that it uses in
order to simplify trapmaking.

- chickenbones wireless redstone
- chickenbones core
- enderstorage (as of v2 beta, it is required)
- project red (base, combat, integration, lighting, mechanical [as of v2 beta, it is required] and world)
- new lazer mod from modjam 3 (as of v2 beta, it is required)
- more pistons mod (as of beta v3 it is required)

The future:

I plan to have a pack of mods (not a traditional modpack) to go with
the map so that people won't have to hassle themselves looking for the
exact ones themselves.

The
map is divided into stages, some stages have 1 trap, some will have 2
or more. That really all depends on what i want to do. All traps in the
map can be used only once.

Stage 1: Lava platforms. Simple platforming, nothing special.


Stage 2: Death Dispenser. 3 obstacles dispensing some instant damage 2 splash potions.


Stage 3: Choice & option. Here, theres 2 traps. One where you have to
choose a way to go and another where you simply have to avoid getting
pushed off.



Stage 4: Empty room. This place is just a big explosives chamber. The X on
the ground will light up but the electronics underneath it will be blown
so this is one trap that cannot be resetted.


Stage 5: PEW PEW. Yes, lazer traps. Killing, pushing, pulling and so on.


Stage 6: Lazed hallway. This is one big trap where the lazer in the middle
pulses. where you have to avoid the automatic lazer AND fire dispensers
on the side. mu ha ha.


Stage 7: Flying things, moving things. Just 3 traps here. First one is an
anvil dropping trap (64 anvils). The player becomes imprisoned and the
anvils hit him and after a while the spot is cleaned into a lava pit.
the other 2 traps are dissapearing red & yellow platforms. The green
ones move back & forth using long pistons on a clock - they cant be
manipulated.


Stage 8: Stairs! Stairs! Stairs!. Yes, stair traps. The 3 stairs all LOOK
identical in construction (aside from the different wool) but they are
all 3 different traps. First one pushes you into the lava pit thats
simple to jump over, the second one pulls itself into the compartment
revealing another lava pit to fall into and the third one folds itself
into the floor and reveals a short laser row doing a "kitt" * motion
that hurts.


Currently that is all there is to this map, i will update this topic/post once there are more traps & stages.
