i made a diamond generator with command blocks.

all you have to do is put one of these commands in a command block:
/summon Item ~ ~1 ~ {Item:{id:gold_ingot,Count:1b}}
/summon Item ~ ~1 ~ {Item:{id:iron_ingot,Count:1b}}
/summon Item ~ ~1 ~ {Item:{id:diamond,Count:1b}}
/summon Item ~ ~1 ~ {Item:{id:emerald,Count:1b}}
But you'll have to make a redstone clock behind it. so a repeater facing into the command block. then a comparator facing into the repeater. And then a simple hopper clock.

what do you mean by that, and what effect would that have on the build?

it is a one command block system (besides the redstone clock). and there would be no effect on the build. just more compressed

i don't see how it compresses the build, all the command blocks are for the water and lava, one for the particles and one for the diamonds, if i replace the one for the diamonds with the command you gave me it would stay the same size, unless you mean the machine its self, i will tho make a second version and release it, you will get the link and a shout out in the desc. i will reply with it when i'm done.
