Features: an area where people can watch whats going on (if you only get one life in the gamemode) including a side view and a bird's eye view(just in case it's a maze you made)
No random mob spawns meaning you can spawn in your own mobs without being rudely interrupted by a creeper or something (it's a little dark you may have to add your own lighting)
Mobs can't destroy blocks if a creeper happens to be an enemy you fight it won't blow up the arena!
A button in the spectator area (where the seats are) where you can teleport back inside the arena itself(you teleport in the middle where the sea lantern is)

Things you must do:
BUILD it's no fun in a plain flat arena give it some terrain some fancy stuff and strategic things like places to take cover or add soul sand.

Things you might need to do depending on what it is you're building:
Move the teleport point(to do that press F3 and find a good spot to teleport look for the XYZ coordinates and write it down now go to the command and type tp @p and the coordinates ex: tp @p 123.456 78.000 910.000)
Add spawners(if you're fighting like a giant horde of zombies or something)
Build an area to gear up (how's our blocky gladiator gonna fight if he has nowhere to make his weapons?)

Recommended mods: Lycanite's mobs Mo'bends Colorful portals(for extra strategic things) and if you're filling the arena with water get the build faster mod (I do not own any of the mods and I don't wanna link where to get the mods as the admins might yell at me for advertising other websites)

Also the version is 1.8 - to the latest update. If it asks you to continue and lose blocks say yes the arena is made with all vanilla block from 1.8 up!
