The story starts with you, the player whose name is never mentioned nor acknowledged, who’s doing a little field trip with your beloved “friends”: Jane, Liam, and Henryk. Going through an old path at the forest which the highway goes across, you four come across an overgrown, abandoned church. It wasn’t clear which religion it worshipped, as the only symbol that’s present was a red heart-shaped window pane.
As it always goes, Liam says that you should enter. Jane says that there’s nothing to worry about. Henryk says nothing.
Having nothing else to do, you enter the church, and just as you leave, the floorboards tremble and break, sending you dozens of meters downwards.
It’s a long way down.
