This is my first map I ever uploaded on planet minecraft and definitively not the last I will have in mind of uploading.
DREADNESS

Dreadness is a """""psychological""""" (put a lot of quoting marks for that) horror map which relies on ambience, illusions (like, just one but it still counts) and sounds to make it creepy.
The whole map is a big maze with the goal of collecting 7 key pieces in order to escape, getting harder and harder as each piece is collected.
To avoid it being an absolute boredom the player gets a map of all the chests and maze right on the beginning of the level, as long with a lighter and a note of the objective of the game (to whoever didn't bother reading this), with 2 difficulties available until now (and possibly ever).
The game does not have a story because that's pretty boring and cliche not gonna lie, it's just a spooky maze game with a few statue following you around in order to scare you.
How the map came up:
A little project that took me a few weeks to get done out of boredom,
at first I was just doing some scripting over for fun, I made a scp 173 behavior with commands
just to see how far I have come to messing with command blocks, and in the next day an idea crossed my head
to make a working dynamic torch in vanilla minecraft, since I actually had a clue on what to do now (I tried doing it before like a year ago but lacked the skill to make it bugless).
Then I just saw these two little works and thought, "hey, this sure would be quite cool for a boring horror game", and made the 128x128 map out. I made the textures of the whole thing, which took me roughly 3-4 hours to texture, draw and sound everything by my own, which as an absolute pain to get through (even though it was quite fun).
The map might have a few bugs (I tried my best a fixing all the major ones), but I've dealt with almost everything up.
Plans:
If this map somehow gets a bit of attention and a few downloads I might think of doing some further stuff with it, or who knows maybe an actual full on horror map with it, but for now it's just a beta that will hardly ever get past it.
I sure do plan on posting more stuff on planet minecraft though, since I am thinking on doing some pretty cool stuff with a few commands lately, however I am not sure if I will have the motivation to do it lol.
Oh also idk if anyone is going to read this but on the screenshots there is a morse code (wooow big deal.............), which are quite hidden on each image and screenshot of the map, just get a brightness effect on and you will easily see it.
Notes:
If anyone is interested on using any command block of the statues, lighter or even the texture of the map for their own maps, projects, creations etc, feel free to do so as long as the credits are properly given on the description of the map when uploading it online. (please)
