Though it won’t win any beauty contests, and its outdated engineering makes it less capable than current aircraft, the EJ2 still marks itself firmly in the history books for being a capable air/sea rescue craft. With VTOL jets and a reinforced hull for water landings, it makes up for its limited range with high capacity and its ruggedness and reliability.
