This door is driffrent becuase it uses the fact that sand falls in minecraft. It is really fast at closing,
there is only one problem the player has to break and relpace the torches after everytime they use the door.

I use this door for my front door of my base. This is because im always going in and out of there,But
if a mob is following me, i can quickly pull the switch and stop him getting in !

you should make a mob trap that you trigger from the inside of the door that kills them and gives you the drops... kinda like a mob farm but more useful
