Here is a large house with a gateway, this is once again like the "Wooden Fantasy House", a test, because i never done this type of architecture with this style so totally trying new things here

If you have suggestions let me know, i'm learning everyday !

It's cool - but I could be even cooler if it would be closable by a redstone mechanic

thx, and you're right but here the goal wasn't to make a litteral gate, it is more like a tunnel under the house above so there is no gate (yes i called it Gatehouse because i don't know how to call it)
+i'm not so good for redstone

In German this is called 'Unterführung' (wordly translate it would be close to 'under path guiding'). As I don't know how to translate that into English I asked Google an google teturned 'Underpass'.

And for the Redstone - and very eask cloasable redstone gate can be created with the following:

At least three iron bars or what ever is wanted for the optical gate

streetblock (need to work with gravity - i recommand gravel)

another block with gravity

Activating for a short time the lower Pistions will push the gate up. After signals end the pistons get back in position and the gravity will restore the street.

Activating the for a short time the upper pistions will push the gate back so it is closed.

If you want a working example you can download my "porte-de-la-ville-de-caenaux" (I don't want to enter a dircet link as it would feel like a "self promotion"). I've found the gate mechanic a long tim ago once on You Tube and kept using it, as it is still a good and easy mechanic. You can also add a third pistion (upper and lower) to make a 3size gap but that is not as easy to build in redstone why I don't build these that often and prefer using the 2 gap variante.

For the name i'm going to put Underpass House so thx and for the redstone thx too i'll try this on a gatehouse's build so it will have it's place :D
