Basic Lore-


In the late 3rd Era the Imperious Empire discovered the Soul Coffer. It was a soul gem with the ability to absorb the soul of any mortal being. The Imperious realized this and built a large crypt around the gem. This was known as the Crypt of Hearts. After the crypt was constructed the Coffer Arch was built as a barrier for the crypt.

In the 4th Era the Imperious fell and the knowledge of the crypt was lost.

In the 5th Era the crypt was discovered by a powerful necromancer. With the help a Divine, his powers and abilities increased greatly.

In the mid 5th Era the necromancer opened a portal near the crypt. The necromancer attempted to enter the crypt as to gain the Soul Coffer. But by entering the crypt he activated a curse, which rose the dead buried inside, as well as other beings to defend the crypt of intruders. The necromancer used the arch and jungle to hold out and raise and army. After his army was finished he stormed the crypt. The battle raged on for only 3 days before an unnatural earthquake caused a majority of the crypt to collapse, killing the necromancer in the process.

Now, in the 7th Era you discover the Crypt of Hearts while adventuring. As you enter you step over the dead bodies and skeletons of the dead who fought in some battle. You continue walking until you find that the only hallway is collapsed. As you begin to turn around you hear a loud roar outside. You run back to the entrance of the crypt and find that a massive portal has opened above a spire of stone. A large explosion occurs and a flash of light blinds you for a few seconds. Once you are able to see a shadowy humanoid figure exit the portal and walk towards you. Before you can react he touches your head and your mind goes blank...
