Here is my real life recreation of First Baptist Church in Longview, Texas. This build features the whole church grounds and interior of the spectacular modern-gothic style Sanctuary. Feel free to download and leave a comment if you enjoy this build.
This build was built and photographed using default texture pack paired with Complementary Unbound shader pack.

First Baptist Church Longview is finally getting its glow-up!
For too long this incredible modernist-gothic church has needed an update. I originally constructed this church in a sandstone palette, giving the church a creamy tan color. In reality however, this church was designed in a pinkish-orange buff brick. The stripped jungle wood block provides a much more accurate real life portrayal of this 1950s church.
Along with a paint job, you'll find other updates such as (unfortunate) aging and dilapidation details, new landscaping, and redesigned stained glass in the Sanctuary. I think this build - the pretty and the weathered - better reflect the real life counterpart. I also wanted to color-correct this church before releasing Mobberly Baptist Church, a true tan sandstone colored church. Stay tuned for that build and many more coming soon!

The Sanctuary was built in 1951 under the pastorate of Dr. W. Morris Ford, in a time when the church was at its peak membership and influence. The style of the building was both on trend in the 50s but also cutting edge for its time. I've yet to see any church like it. The stained glass is in a very mid-century modern pattern. There are definitely Art Deco influences, particularly in the statues of the angels above the main entrances and the Chapel entrance which were difficult to portray in Minecraft, but in the stained glass as well. The sanctuary boasts a massive and grand 5,000-pipe organ, not another like it in all of East Texas. Fun fact, the organ here and the one at FBC Nacogdoches (another build of mine) are sister organs installed by the same organ builder.
