The first game wasn't that good, but it was different and interesting. It wasn't even a horror game, it was a jumpscare game. After that, sequels were rushed and poorly executed. That caused the developers reputation to be tarnished and shown to be money hungry. They're bad games. Why does anyone think they're good or phenomenal?

Because it's a "scary game"? Because I'll tell you, if you want a scary game, play alien isolation.
