Can you make an island as if it were on an almost 1x1 pillar holding it up? or maybe with a giant balloon keeping the island afloat?

well magnetism is a more powerful force than gravity so in theory this could happen in real life under the right conditions

yes but say there is magnetic rock around an certain area. then an earthquake happens and dislodges a certain area of the rock. the dislodged rock and the rock beneath have north polarity so they repel.
