Force, an Experimental Home
For this build, I decided to experiment with one of the basics of Modern Architecture. Instead of using industrial materials, I used natural ones. the house is made almost completely out of different clay bricks, wooden planks, and stones. The only artificial materials present are glass and electrical materials. The house features no doors, making it feel even more natural; and it features many varieties of grey and brown, representing stablity and indifference.
Description
This house features several points of intrest; a "living room," two bedrooms, an office, a kitchen, a fire place, 2 closets, a hallway, a waterfall garden, and a outdoor living/dining area. The living room has the highest ceiling of all the rooms, encouraging the residents to spend their time there. On the side away from the door, the fire place can be seen. The fire place is gas powered for convenience, and conservation of the forest around the structure. It can also be seen from the kitchen, which also has an oven. The hallway has a low ceiling, deliberately making it feel uncomfortable so it is moved through quickly. The bedrooms are circular in shape, so that the focal point is the central beds.
Building process
The house was outlined and designed around the Minecraft - Generated terrain using simple shapes to give me the general idea of the shape of the house. The shapes were a square, two half circles, and three rectangles. Then the pillars were outlined and build. The walls between the pillars were added, and glass placed. The frame for the ceiling was placed, and the roof built. Then the second floor office was added.
Afterwords, the outdoor features were added. The land around the river was terraced, and the waterfall added. bushes, shrubs, and trees were planted, and paths made.
The interior could use some work, but I am satisfied with the work.
