Fort St. Renard was a French fort that was meant to be established 29km south of the Egyptian city of Cairo. The builders had decided to build the walls and moat first before moving onto the interior buildings. Most of the soldiers just slept in their tents whilst taking rescidence there. The fort was under threat of local insurgents and possible Turkish attack, so building was done very slowly to protect the workers. Then, one day, the workers and French soldiers just, disappeared. Without a trace they were gone, with nothing but a few fire pits left inside the fort to say that they had lived there. The fort is now said to be haunted at night, but it is used by bandits without care.

This was a fort I designed that I was planning on bringing before my nation's leader on a server to see if we could build a newer and better fort. He approved it, but it never got carried out, so I'm posting it here.
