Very interested in some feedback
Project listed as 95% as its was originally underground, so if placed above it may need a hole or 2 plugged .
Note: Zombies are 1 hit kill's when at the bottom of the pit, bare-handed maybe 2 hits
Note 2: Clean the exp holes of items and exp often as the amount of floating items sprites will lag your server quickly.. eg; 30 seconds worth of spawn = 75 zombies (give or take a few) 75x5 (possible amount of flesh droped 2, 3 exp globes per kill) so thats 225 items on the ground every minute or so
UPDATE: Added a lava hole on the edge of the zombie pit incase you spawn too many and lag is unbearable (slower systems will experience this).. just stand in front of the hole.. they will do the rest
Test #2: Tested again, 1 person in glass tube to encourage spawn-rate, 3 farmers at the bottom
Zombie spawns were faster than the 3 slayers.. once every 5-7 min one would have to lure to the lava pit to clear some of the respawns / lag..
Fred's Spawner:
(following text cut and pasted from my op on minecraftforums)
Testing was good.. little laggy as to be expected on a non dedicated server,
"The Laggy Pit of Infinte EXP" works best if 1 person remains in the middle of the glass tube at the top to encourage spawn-rate.
It should be able to handle 4 exp farmers at the base with this rate of spawn,
in testing with 1 person and not constantly spawning (running up and down to spawn mosnters reduces the XP per hour)
test subject easily got 30 levels in 3-4 mins
If subject didnt have to move, 30 levels could be made in 2 mins or less (finger cramp incoming)
Going to make a few changes then ill post screens and schematic
