Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵
The Fuji Broadcasting Center, the headquarters for Fuji Television, is one of the finest examples of "metabolism" architecture. Two different towers (The Media Tower and the Office Tower) are interconnected via various skybridges and a large, spherical observation center, known as the Hachitama Spherical Observation Room, is located right on one of them. The building also features a shopping plaza and terrace, featuring several shops themed around shows aired on Fuji TV and Fuji TV merchandise in general.
The skybridges are referred to as "corridors of heaven" and the building itself was designed by Kenzo Tange, built to be perfect for sets and stages for all sorts of TV shows and programmes. The observation center was notably difficult to build due to its center of mass being off-center.
==============================================================================
This is undoubtedly the most complex building I've done in Architopia, especially with the bottom portion with the Fujisan Terrace, roof-top details and the sky bridges connecting the office and media towers. Even then, this was quite the experience building. It was pretty neat learning about metabolism architecture for the first time and what the building has inside. As of making this submission, this building features the Hachitama Spherical Observation Room, Mezuma Sky, Fujisan Terrace, Fujisan Shop, and interiors for the sky bridges, Media Tower, and Office Tower. The Fuji TV Mall is planned to be built once the Architopia map is released to the public.
