Hey Guys! This is my Fully Functional Giant Redstone Crafting Table in 1.8 vanilla Minecraft! You can build the recipe on the giant crafting table, then press the button, and the item will be crafted!
YOU CAN ALSO DOWNLOAD THE CRAFTING TABLE IN A NORMAL SURVIVAL WORLD HERE:
CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE GIANT CRAFTING TABLE SURVIVAL WORLD!
How to use:
1. First off, make sure you are looking from the correct side of the table. You are on the correct side when the glasswhere the item will spawn is to the right of you, like in the pictures above.
2. Shape out the crafting recipe on the giant crafting table. This means, any blocks that you can place, place them directly onto the crafting table. Any items that cannot be placed can be throw them onto the correct spot on the crafting table. ALWAYS place the block or item on the orange top right corner of each crafting square.
3. Press the button! Your item will spawn on the glass to the right of the table! The crafting table will reset, and you will be able to use it again.
Blocks that can be placed include:
All blocks (not items)
torches
redstone dust
How it works:
Basically, each crafting recipe is given its own redstone combination code. Each item or block in the crafting recipe has its own command block. That command block tests for the correct block/item on the correct spot on the giant crafting table. When all of the blocks and items are in the correct spot, and the combinaton code is correct, it will turn on a redstone torch that will summon the correct item onto the glass next to the crafting table. Thats the simplest way to explain it. Watch the video above to learn more about how it works!
(Current) Limitations:
- You can only craft one amount of one item at a time. So if you want to make three shovels, you can only make one at a time. Recipes that when crafted that give you multiple items will still give you the correct amount. For example, if you craft sticks, you will still get 4 of them.
- Most recipes that I have added so far can be crafted in more than one orientation. For example, you can craft a wooden axe with the wood facing to the left, or the wood facing to the right. Both work. I try to do this for all recipes when possible, but I think I forgot a few, like swords.
- No "shapeless" recipes have been added yet. This means recipes like flint and steel, dyes. Recipes where you can put the items anywhere on the crafting table. I'm still not sure how to handle those. If you have any items comment below!
Other Info:
-This is an on-going project, and I am far from finished. I will contine to update the map with more recipes, until one day I will (hopefully) have all of them.
-This map is multiplayer compatable. As of the last time I checked it really does not create all that much lag. I recommend using a lower Render Distance setting for the best performance.
- If you want to see how much have completed, I go by this list: minecraft.gamepedia.com/Crafting/CompleteList
I'm currently up to Transportation. But I also have all the tools, weapons, and armor completed.
- The redstone is located at 497, 5, -2. Yeah it's a lot. You can call me a no lifer, but I'm pretty proud of the outcome... Even though its completed unless and pointless but you don't have to know that. Chances are you're not even reading this, Anyway.........
Downloads:
- You can get the Empty World download but clicking the World Saver Download Box to the right.
- If you would like to use the crafting table in a survival world, I have a download for that. For a fun challenge, you can try to get through the game by only using the giant crafting table!
