Back in 2013, my high school classmate asked me whether I could build a castle gate for a server he was maintaining those days. The answer was yes of course and here is the result. It has the following characteristics:
  • 4 independent buttons to open/close the gate
  • Flat gate roof
  • 2 gate-wall ladders
  • 2 accessible gate windows
  • Reusable design
  • No command blocks whatsoever
Speaking of command blocks, I have never liked them in redstone sphere. Why? Because since their introduction there are significantly fewer authentic redstone projects without command blocks substituting a function of redstone. Basically, it has transformed hardware problems to software problems while still being subconsciously interpreted as hardware problems.

I have never used command blocks for such a purpose in my published projects! Enjoy another real redstone project!! :-))

I totally agree with the "Death of Command Blocks in Redstone Creations" and it has a point, If you use commands a project loses it integrity that is why I will never use command blocks unless 100% necessary...
