How to set up your own golf course using the data pack.
Here is how to set up a golf course if you want to make your own course.

1. Placing the Pins.
(This requires server operator permissions or cheats enabled.)
To place a pin enter the command ‘/function golf:placepin’, this will place a pin in the middle of the block you are standing on. Place a pin for each hole in your course (You can have a maximum of 18 holes).
For the final hole of your course, instead enter the command ‘/function golf:placefinalpin’. You don’t need 18 holes in your course. Whichever hole you want to be the final hole, use the placefinalpin command.
It is highly recommended to use packed ice (it is retextured as green concrete powder) as the block for the greens, as it helps the golf ball roll better. Blue ice is also retextured, you can put the pins on this block, as it is textured to be a hole.
To remove a pin enter the command ‘/kill @e[tag=pin,distance..10]’, that command will remove all pins in a 10 blocks radius, if you want to remove all pins remove the ‘,distance..10’ (Only pins in loaded chunks will be removed.)

2. Setting each hole’s par.
To set a hole’s par enter the command ‘/scoreboard players set <hole> par <par>’. For example, entering the command ‘/scoreboard players set 6 par 3’ will set the 6th hole’s par to 3.

3. Useful information.
If you want a specific person not to be able to enable Always Perfect or Max Power for themselves or change the wind, enter the command ‘/tag <player name> add noperms’, this will not allow them to enable or disable Max Power, Always Perfect, or change wind direction, power, or if the wind can change randomly.
If you want to manually set a setting for someone you can enter the command ‘/execute as <player name> run trigger settings set <setting number>’. Each setting has its own number.
Enable Max Power = 16
Disable Max Power = 17
Enable Always Perfect = 18
Disable Always Perfect = 19
If you change a setting using the golf book, its setting number will appear in chat.
You can also force reset someone’s scores for the round by entering the command ‘/execute as <player name> run trigger resetround set 2’.
