I agree with the below comment. I think you should make it so there is only one route right the way to the top. There could be others that lead nearly to the top, but just a couple blocks off.
And make it so you are not allowed to destroy any blocks or place any blocks!
I think that would be fun, If there was some sort of reward in the end.

theres nothing really exciting about a small dirt area if theres nothing there, and its really easy to get out, i suggest maybe going a little bit more indepth with your idea?
