The greater City of Thermostadt, with territories
For two and a half years I refused to upgrade my MC from 1.7.3. I stuck with my second ever world for thousands of hours building and building. All in survival, pure vanilla. I then stumbled across a glitch that gave me unlimited resources and I saw Madness64 on youtube wich made me start building medieval style.
The result is this, The Kingdom of Therm. A ridiculously large world, it contains two larger cities, medieval and arabianesque, villages, a citadel, farms, and more. There are hundreds of houses, all different yet in the same style. Exploring it all will take a long time..
I once hoped to finish this, but I`v e gotten used to the later releases now and creative mode. It hasn`t been worked for some months now. And it is very much outdatet. To refresh everyones memory, the block palette in 1.7.3 is very limited. No upside down stairs or different kind of wood. It all makes for a very uniform city. The height limit is 128. Especially sandbuilds when you only get half slabs, there is a limit to what you can pull off.
As such I call an end to this rather weird project and share with you this oddity of a map. There are builds I am very much ashamed of and builds I am proud of. I may not be the best builder but the amount of time spent on this map is sick, the size of it makes me proud :) (and a bit scared...)
I`ve updated the save to get some shaders for better screens :) I also went for the conquest texturepack for added enjoyment.
If there is any interest in this "yet another medieval city", I`ll put up a save.
And the story of the city can be seen here

The Kingdom of Therm
is made of:
Thermostadt
..is the major city. And was founded two and a half years ago. It started as a hole in the mountain side but eventually grew to a square km of builds, more or less. The city is a diary of my builds sort of. There are several districts, many have been rebuilt a few times and all are very much WIP. It features, three ports, hundreds of builds, a shipyard, library, towers, and lots, lots more.
to the south lies the other major city, also heavily WIP
Al Arm
A more arabian, desert inspired build. Sadly the terrain had to be terraformed by hand :(
Further south and in every direction there are villages, farms, outposts, a citadel, dungeons and much more.
It has been my home for a looong time. But now its all over.
Old Town (Starting point) Centre
This area have the first buildings of Thermostadt. Very madness inspired area. It has changed little since it was first built, except for the background..

Huzzah! , the project may not be dead after all. It seems it may be revived in a new world as part of something bigger and better and fully playable :D Hopefully a new and improved version will be ready by october: Hopefully it will then be a large city with several others on a server.
Tweaking it to more recent updates and finishin up the builds will probably take some months.
My computer is no beast but after a few hours of rendering I managed to get a half-decent Chunky of the main city. The pic is added to the rest.
