UPDATE!

UPDATE!! (April 14th)
I'm currently finishing the Dojang. (Dojang is the Korean term for training hall, like Dojo [I trained under Tang Soo Do when I was younger, so I use Korean terms above other oriental terms]).
Originally, I wasn't planning on using any 3rd party programs to construct my buildings, but seeing as how gathering materials, especially wool, takes a lot of time and effort, I will be using INVedit to help construct some of my newer buildings. Everything else built up to the new building was done by my own harvesting.
Seeing as how I got a little bit of spare time, I'll be finishing my first dojang, then go straight to the construct of a new pagoda.
April 13th
Due to the limit I had from the start (thanks you stupid invisible boundry in the sky..), this pagoda will NOT be meeting my desired expectations. With that, I'll be making the pagoda to what I had originally planned before making this a project.
With that, I don't want to leave this project all for naught. Once I finish my original plan then i'll be more than likely uploading a world save instead of the pagoda.
BUT...!!
I still wanted to make a pagoda and present it to the PlanetMinecraft community!!
So this time, I will do it right. I'll make sure to start off ground level, and make a much bigger and better pagoda, that which I will consider my first-first project.
As to when I will build it, time will tell. But once I have made it, I'll upload the schematic.
I use the Painterlypack. Comment if you'd like the code.
**I'll try to update often, but I'm not makin any promises**
---== What needs to be worked on: ==---
1. Finish Dojang
2. Fix land at base of mountain to ready a new Pagoda
3. Work on that sucka!
4? Any future suggestions
(Leading to...)
5. Big ol' world filled with oriental buildings?
6. ??
7. Profit!

Update #4 : by GrizzlyAmish 05/31/2011 10:24:20 amMay 31st, 2011
Ehh, slightly slow working on this world.
Trying to find motivation is a little hard for me. But I do what I can.
The giant pagoda (most likely going to make it a shrine of sorts) is currently unfurnished (except for the very top floor, which has a lil "secret" to it. I play on adding little floating islands for smaller structures that's connected to the shrine.
I used some signature architecture that are usually found on the roof of a shrine, notably the Chigi and the Katsuogi. I read that it's more common to use wood.. but I like the look of the cobblestone better.

Over time, I'll continue to work on this. Slowly, but surely.
I also made a small temple that's in the side of a mountain, but the location's a secret at the moment (don't expect anything spectacular, lol).

I might just try it out again some time. A lot more customization and what-not.
How come, world? XD
Back then, I was helpful around the forums a lot, as well as reported a lot of submissions.
This lead me to being on good terms with the 5 or 6 moderators of the past.
When it was time that they needed more moderators, they asked me if I was interested. Lo and behold, I, as well as creeperCarole and SoulStealer (maybe even another mod that I can't remember off the top of my head) became the 2nd Generation of PMC mods.
And level's has nothing to do with moderator standing.
(Another tidbit of info: back then, there were only moderators, which was the rank of today's site mods: there were no forum or chat moderators)
Also, *Then
But your comment reminded me to put my world up for download. I'll have to get to that sometime soon.
