ABOUT GTA V IN MINECRAFT

This project was originally created january 10th, 2015 by niicknumber1 & many builders, and left unfinished august 10th, 2016, in the version 1.10. This project aims to update/restore that map!

I'll be perfectly honest, why is this paywalled? The original map was free, you're essentially modifying someone elses map and paywalling it.
Not being rude, it's a great map and all but there is 0 need to paywall a map that was free originally

As an original builder on this project, responsible for most outlines on the server, I am also sad to see it being paywalled. But costs are also the reason I did not continue this project after Nick quit. I tried it a few years ago again, but building this without making content to attract builders is not great for your wallet and the progress.

can you make a free world download once its finished but can you not use drop box -please or use google drive or something else and can you make the download for both bedrock and java minecraft cheers

How much of it is done, and how are you takelling scale? Have you used any 3rd party software, would love to know more btw about the process you guys are using to develop this.

Amazing work guys keep it up!! I look forward to seeing this completed!!

As an original head builder, I can say the map is 1:1, or at least as best as possible. We used Worldpainter and a high resolution image of the GTA 5 map, and a height map 1:3 scale N11cK found. He scaled it up to 1:1 which explains the 3 block increases on the non built areas.



While we were working on it we mainly used World Edit and Voxel Sniper. Also some small custom tools to make repetitive actions easier.



We made the map in the default texture pack to keep it as Minecraft as possible. Also we chose color over block use, so wood planks can be found as sand too.
