Mikhail Mil was a legend of Soviet aviation and the author of many iconic helicopters, including the Mi-6. The creation of this helicopter began in the 1950s, when the Soviet government demanded the development of a helicopter for transporting heavy cargo and troops.

Their perseverance and hard work led to the creation of one of the most impressive helicopters in history. The Mi-6 became the first helicopter in the world capable of carrying 12 tons of cargo and up to 70 passengers.
