I am going to start building an awesome futuristic hotel in minecraft in short while. I am going to finish off my alien ships design first, which should be in the near future. This is what i will be finishing first, go check it out! it is pretty cool!:

I am having the same thoughts, i think i will have to make it even bigger, but makes it a bit of a challenge as i am not planning on using mcedit for any of it and i am not doing it on superflat. So i am debating on making it bigger, and separating the platforms even more.
