This is possibly one of the largest banks ever seen in Minecraft, I cant find anything like this on YouTube or anywhere else for that matter. I will record a video for YouTube soon so watch this space!
It has 20 Bank Vaults each 10 x 10 in size with 2 floors. So ample storage space!
It utilises another of my Redstone projects -
The 4 digit sequential PIN system with 28 segment LCD style display.
(As seen here http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/4-digit-sequential-pin-system-with-28-segment-lcd-style-display/)
Consists of 3 buttons,
- Cycle number (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0)
- Enter (enters the current digit)
- Reset (resets the device)
Its simple to use - you just cycle through the numbers and press enter to move to the next digit. Each digit is "scrambled" with an "X" after entering it for added security. When the final digit is entered the PIN room door opens on a timer and unlocks the corresponding vault, (if the PIN is correct obviously!) You can then proceed to your vault door, press the button - the door opens on a timer and then locks behind you. Simple.
The PIN numbers are fully programmable via a set of levers accessible through the master vault. Each vault has its own unique PIN number.
Next I will be adapting this to enable you to program the PIN numbers from the screen; thus eliminating the need to manually change PIN numbers on the inside.*
(*2019 update - I did indeed eventually build a much more advanced version which allows users to change their pin from the screen.)
