Time for a wonder through the magnificient hunting grounds of the Hunter's Wood.

The Hunter's Wood is a little project of mine where I've specifically focused on atmosphere. I've really wanted to allow the player to feel like they are indeed within an expansive forest, bordering a cold bay and overlooked by a mountain, and I really feel I've succeeded. The forests feel wild and overgrown, you can almost envision deers and prey around every corner. It feels old and ancient, and that was exactly what I was wanting to achieve. I'm extremely happy with how this turned out, and I hope the community does as well.

I did a few things differently this time as well! No more 'stone mix', just pure stone. It makes the mountains so much better. I also experimented much more heavily with the plant layer, and it really, really came out well. Expect more submissions with wilder plant life and trees in the future, as this is a part of mapmaking I really want to explore more heavily! Thanks for checking out the map!
