Itlerre City is a major part of the project, this city itself taking about two months to complete, then a further month for interiors to be built. This city was built solely by ConcealedElement and Jannekloeffler. Our wonderful build team joined us after this project was mostly completed, and dedicated their time to helping us build over 200 different interiors for each structure. To this day we occasionally find the odd interior that got missed. All credit for this beauty goes to Jannek, Concealed and the build team for their parts on creating this amazing build.
Lore:
Ilterre is the capital of the powerful Indaran Empire. As to be expected with a kingdom that has it all, the city is quite known for its beauty. Exotic, fragrant flowers accompany various walkways; as mementos and souvenirs from conquered lands sit on display in order to add to a visualisation of the empire's expansive grasp. However, under the seemingly perfect empire, the perfection comes at the cost of its denizens.
Underneath the facade, Ilterre is a very brutal city. It hadn't become the capital of one of the most powerful empires in the land for no reason. Their soldiers undergo near-death, torture-like exercises. Some of these practices included being struck in non-fatal areas by various weapons that the enemy may use; so that during a battle they will not be phased by the wounds they may receive in battle. These different practices created ruthless, bloodthirsty warriors that would defend their kingdom until the very end.
As for the citizens, they too face different forms of oppression. These include the prohibition of any acts that may portray the kingdom in a negative light. If a person is unfortunate enough to offend Ilterran officials, depending on their status, they surely would not be seen again. Those deemed too important to "disappear", would refuse to speak about the atrocities they endured, both in fear of the Indaran authority and the psychological damage that accompanied their punishments.
Other Information:
This city is progressively being improved and upgraded, which is why it took so long to get to a stage of beauty we were happy to showcase. It was built with the purpose of being the largest and most powerful city on our map. Showcasing its strength with its mighty defences, and vast wealth.
Although it isn't showcased in the images, the city has a dungeon inside the mountain which the castle is situated upon. Iltere city also boasts two gladiatorial arenas for warriors to entertain crowds with their prowess, accompanied by our own take on the globe theatre, with a rich market decorating the path to its doors, offering shopping and entertainment.
For anyone wondering the city is built using the conquest_ resource pack, not conquest reforged mod.
